Defending champions KCCA FC were held to a goalless draw by new premier league entrants Maroons FC on Tuesday evening.
Maroons who looked well prepared made a number of attempts on KCCA FC’s goal only for Charles Lukwago’s heroics to save the day for the defending champions.
Speaking during the post match press conference, KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi said his senior players never showed up for the game.
“It was a big disappointment because my stars never showed up for the game,” he said.
He also praised Maroons for being well organised.
Maroons coach Asaph Mwebaze said the draw was a good start for his team who are new in the league.
