Mayuge – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has met and interacted with the children and grandchildren of his fallen FRONASA comrades from Busoga, vowing to honour their legacy through community transformation projects in the region.
The group, led by the late Eng. Samuel Kasadha, was among those who made significant contributions to Uganda’s liberation struggle but were brutally murdered during Idi Amin’s regime.
“These Comrades contributed greatly in the struggle for a free Uganda but were brutally murdered by Idi Amin. Their contribution is the foundation for the peace we have today,” the President said.
Museveni announced that, following his visit, he would participate in the transformation of Kityerera into a model village, aimed at improving livelihoods through organised, sustainable development initiatives.
“Following this visit, I am going to participate in transforming Kityerera into a model village.”
He also expressed gratitude to the people of Mayuge District and Busoga sub-region for their warm welcome and hospitality.
