Uganda Receives 2.9m Doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccines

The Government of Uganda has received a consignment of 2,944,800 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

The vaccines were donated by the Governments of; Spain (1,951,200 doses), France (950,000 doses) and Norway (43,200 doses).

The donation was done under the dose-sharing arrangement through the COVAX Facility.

Health minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng received the vaccines on Wednesday March 9, 2022.

She said to-date, Uganda has received a total of 6,864,960 doses of the AstraZeneca and 1,600,000 doses of the Sinovac, 4,855,320 of Moderna,11,765,520 doses of Pfizer and now 14,982,300 doses of J&J to support the ongoing mass COVID-19 vaccination exercise.
