Jetour Uganda has committed Shs5 million toward the Rotary Cancer Run 2026, a firm declaration from leadership: “WE SHALL RUN!”

Jetour joins corporate entities and individuals in a collective effort to save lives, with its team set to run alongside thousands at the Kololo Independence Grounds on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

This year’s fundraising proceeds are earmarked for constructing critical cancer treatment infrastructure at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya in Kampala.

While handing over a dummy cheque to the Rotary Cancer Run 2026 organizing committee, Anthony K. Muthike, the General Manager of Al Mamoun East Africa Co., Ltd (the exclusive distributor of Jetour vehicles in Uganda), emphasized that the company is running to raise awareness for early screening, highlighting that detecting cancer early is the key to saving lives.

“This year, Jetour’s commitment is absolute: TO RUN. We are running to ignite hope, honor those we’ve lost, and celebrate the resilience of survivors,” said Muthike. “Most importantly we are running to drive awareness for early screening.

When cancer is caught early, survival rates skyrocket, and that is the outcome we are all fighting for,” he added.

To ensure broader community participation, Jetour Uganda has also purchased over 60 running kits. Anyone who wishes to join the cause can pick up a kit free of charge from its Namanve showroom.

Meddie Lutaaya, Chairman of the Rotary Cancer Run 2026, commended Jetour Uganda for stepping up to the cause early in its journey in Uganda.

“Your support reinforces our shared mission of building and equipping a modern cancer center at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya,” Lutaaya remarked. “Together, we are bridging a critical gap to provide advanced radiotherapy treatment, which includes housing two linear accelerator (LINAC) machines, critical diagnostic equipment, and specialized care,” he emphatically noted.

This initiative marks a key milestone for Jetour Uganda as it approaches its first full year in the local market and is a testament to the brand’s rapidly growing footprint and its commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen.

“Ugandans have embraced the Jetour brand with incredible warmth over the past 11 months, and it is only fitting that our growth is reflected in how we support the lives of our people,” noted Richard Bamujje, Sales Manager, Jetour Uganda.

“Behind every statistic is a mother, a father, a child, or a colleague. No matter the size, we believe a strategic corporate endeavor has the power to restore a life, anchor a family, and strengthen our nation’s health system,” he concluded.
