Police Arrest Key Suspect in Nyanama Murder, Kayima counsels lovers

The Kampala Metropolitan Area Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima has said that they have arrested 26 – year old Charles Kato over the murder of a woman in Nyanama.

On Monday, 20 -year old  Maria Nabirawa’s body was recovered in Nyanama near a washing bay.

“He was arrested from Nakaseke in a shrine as he tried to cleanse himself after orchestrating the murder,” KMP police spokesperson Emilian Kayima told journalists on Tuesday.

“The witch doctor alerted police who swung into action and arrested Kato.”

He said that the couple developed a misunderstanding over land in Matugga that led to a fight.

Kayima urged lovers to always seek advice in case of misunderstandings as a way of solving problems.
