“In our faith, we don’t make celibacy vows because we believe in Holy matrimony and having families. Now, Bishop Kibuuka you are free to decide on the life style you prefer to stay in for the rest of your life,” Bishop Tom Kiiza said.

Kiiza jokingly asked for any female in the congregation willing and ready to get married to Bishop Kibuuka, to bring forward their application.

Kibuuka in his maiden speech pointed out that he is not at war with anybody but asked everyone to put him in prayers so that he can serve the Lord beyond expectations

“If people have been saying that my teachings are false, where have I got all these Bishops who are here,” asked Kibuuka.

Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Kahinda Otafiire who was the chief guest called upon every body to respect each other’s faith since every body has a right to praise God in a manner they feel comfortable provided it doesn’t affect others.

Otafiire promised the Bishop that in the shortest time possible, the President will send his congratulatory message.

The Minister without Portfolio Abdul Nadduli thanked Bishop Kibuuka for not letting him down because he has been behind him ever since he left the Catholic Church.
