The Minister informed members that Police is still following all leads to have the perpetrators arrested and brought to book adding that currently no arrests have been made.

Kania said, “The deceased persons were shot by unknown persons traveling on numberless motor-cycles armed with two guns; they thereafter boarded their motor cycles, rode towards Rubaga on Mityana road and disappeared from the public,” Obiga said.

He told members that the exhibits were recovered from the crime scene which included; cartridges, heads of projectile and blood samples that have been sent for investigations.

“The Police are investigating the murder of the two as a criminal act to establish the motive and possibly apprehend those that are responsible.”

“No arrests have so far been made but some suspects are being questioned by the police investigations team; the Police appeals to the public and any eye witness with information to pass it to the nearby police station.”
