Kampala — Jumia Uganda will offer discounts of up to 80% on selected products during its Black Friday campaign, which runs from October 30 to November 30, as households seek ways to manage spending amid rising living costs.

The campaign, themed “Jumia Black Friday — Your dreams, now on deal!”, goes live at 11:59 p.m. on October 29 and will feature offers across electronics, home appliances, smartphones, fashion, beauty products and household essentials.

Among the advertised deals are an SPJ 15-kilogram twin-tub washing machine at Shs699,000 and a Pixel 65-inch QLED Android television at Shs999,000.

Customers will also be able to look out for a Pixel 280-litre double-door refrigerator with a water dispenser advertised at Shs399,000, subject to availability.

Jumia Uganda said the month-long campaign is intended to give customers access to discounted products through its online marketplace, allowing them to compare prices and shop across different categories from home.

The campaign comes as households face pressure on their budgets and increasingly look for ways to get value for money when buying essential goods and other products.

“Black Friday is about more than big discounts; it is about giving customers an opportunity to get more value from their money,” said Steven Lamony, Jumia Uganda chief executive officer.

“We recognise that many Ugandan households are being more deliberate about how they spend, and we want to make it easier for them to access attractive offers on products that matter to their everyday lives,” he said.

Lamony added that customers would be able to explore deals, plan purchases and access offers across a wide range of product categories throughout the campaign.

Shoppers can access the offers through the Jumia website or mobile application. The company has encouraged customers to check the platform regularly for new deals and limited-time promotions.

The campaign will run until November 30, 2026, although the availability of specific products and promotional prices may vary.
