Joshua Baraka is taking his B’rakaland EA journey to Eastern Uganda this weekend. Baraka will be sharing his music story and how he has kept walking, with his fans in Mbale.

The stop is a continuation of Baraka’s B’rakaland EA tour, after holding successful stops in Northern Uganda and West Nile, with performances in Gulu and Arua, over the last two weekends.

Baraka, who was recently appointed the Johnnie Walker Icon Walker in Uganda, and the face of the new Keep Walking campaign, will perform at Bandali Lounge, in Mbale, as the next stop of a musical journey, that has become much bigger than the stage.

He will be sharing his growing catalogue of music with his fans in the region as he continues his B’rakaland EA tour.

For Baraka, the tour has become an opportunity to meet his fans where they are, share his music, and perhaps more importantly, share the journey behind the artist the world sees today.

It is a journey that closely mirrors the philosophy at the heart of Johnnie Walker’s Keep Walking campaign. The belief that progress is not simply about arriving at a destination, but about continuing to move forward, taking bold steps and embracing every experience along the way.

Baraka has been able to share his story and his music- live, with audiences in Gulu and Arua, and he recently testified that- each stop represents another chapter in his own story.

From an emerging voice finding his place in Uganda’s music scene, to becoming one of the country’s most celebrated young artistes, Baraka’s rise has been defined by movement, new sounds, new audiences, new stages and an ambition that continues to push him forward.

“For me, Keep Walking is a very personal statement, because I am still on my journey,” Baraka says. “There are so many things I still want to achieve as an artiste, and I am learning to appreciate every step along the way. This tour is about meeting the people who have been part of that journey, sharing my music with them and reminding them that wherever you are going, you have to keep moving.”

“Joshua’s journey is exactly what Keep Walking is about,” said Christine Kyokunda, Johnnie Walker Brand Manager for East Africa. “He is not at the end of his story; he is still building, still exploring and still pushing himself to achieve more.

That makes this tour particularly meaningful because we are able to walk with him as he takes his music to different audiences and inspires people through his own journey.”

From Mbale, the B’rakaland EA journey will go to the west in Mabarara and later culminate into the much anticipated Kampala mega concert, where Baraka will bring the wider experience at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in November.

The artiste lineup for the Kampala concert keeps growing by the day, with Baraka releasing a new name almost every week. So far, Kenyan superstar Bien-Aimé Baraza and Uganda songstress Naava Grey, have being confirmed as the first two artists that’s will share the stage with Baraka on the B’rakaland EA stage, with a promise for more artists to be announced in the coming weeks.
