Ecobank Partners With Interswitch to Enhance Financial Services in Uganda

Ecobank Uganda has entered a strategic partnership with Interswitch Uganda, a leading financial technology services company, to further enhance digital banking services and financial inclusion across Uganda.

The partnership aims to streamline and expand financial service offerings, leveraging Interswitch’s advanced payment infrastructure to provide Ecobank customers with access to a total of 650 ATM locations, among other key services.

By joining forces, both institutions seek to improve payment efficiencies and broaden access to digital banking services for individuals and businesses. The partnership is designed to significantly enhance customer experience by offering greater convenience, increased accessibility, enhanced security, Financial inclusion, and wider ATM Access: 

Ecobank customers will benefit from increased access to cash withdrawal and banking services through Interswitch-powered ATMs, even in regions where Ecobank has no physical branches.

Commenting on the partnership, Grace Muliisa, Ecobank Managing Director said “We are thrilled to partner with Interswitch to further our commitment to digital transformation and financial inclusion.”

Adding, “This collaboration aligns with our mission to provide seamless and innovative banking solutions for our customers across the country.”

Moris Seguya, Country General Manager Interswitch Uganda said “This partnership reflects the shared vision of Interswitch and Ecobank Uganda to enhance accessibility and convenience through advanced digital banking services. We remain committed to delivering innovative payment solutions that empower individuals and businesses with seamless financial services”.
