Business in downtown Kampala came to a standstill after a bus lost control and slammed into a building, killing a woman.
The bus reportedly lost control and rammed into vendors in Kiseka market along Kyaggwe Road. The incident occurred near Hotel Equatorial.
It is suspected that the driver failed to stablize the bus on the slope towards Kiseka market, and slightly knocked off the verandah.
The bus Reg No UAS 437P linked to Kakise bus company knocked bystanders and those doing business at the building, killing some of them.
It is said that a woman who was vending fruits was killed instantly while several others sustained injuries.
Police arrived at the scene in an attempt to rescue those involved in the accident.
