KAMPALA — Ascenify Uganda has intensified conversations around leadership, intentional growth, and professional networking ahead of the highly anticipated SWITCH Conference 2026 scheduled for June 26.
As part of the preparations for the conference, the organisation hosted a webinar dubbed “Take Charge,” which brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders for an interactive discussion on personal transformation, mentorship, and leadership development.
The webinar was moderated by Beverley Nambozo Nsegiyunva and featured renowned leadership coach and speaker Dr Peter Kimbowa as the keynote facilitator.
During the session, Dr Kimbowa challenged participants to rethink how they approach leadership, self-improvement, and career growth in an increasingly competitive and fast-changing professional environment.
He introduced what he termed “The Power of 3,” a framework encouraging individuals to intentionally evaluate the people they mentor, the books they read, the platforms they learn from, and the relationships they cultivate.
Dr Kimbowa emphasised that meaningful growth requires individuals to continuously unlearn outdated habits, relearn new skills, and intentionally build valuable networks and relationships.
“The sum total of a person is not what they are, but what they could become,” Dr Kimbowa noted during the session.
He also highlighted what he described as the “Magic of 3” — Attitude, Ability, and Character — as critical pillars for effective leadership and long-term impact.
Participants were further challenged with reflective questions aimed at encouraging self-awareness and purpose-driven leadership, including: “Who becomes better because you existed?” “Taking charge is a discipline and a personal decision,” Dr Kimbowa added.
The webinar forms part of a broader series of engagements leading up to The SWITCH Conference 2026, a leadership and networking platform organised by Ascenify Uganda under the theme “Networking for Success.”

The conference is expected to take place at Four Points by Sheraton Kampala and will convene CEOs, entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals from various sectors for conversations focused on leadership, mentorship, collaboration, and business growth.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ascenify Uganda Lead Coach Lynda Nabayiinda said the webinar series is intended to prepare participants for deeper engagement during the conference.
“Growth begins with intentionality. Through these conversations, we are encouraging professionals to take charge of their leadership journey, build meaningful networks, and position themselves for long-term success,” Nabayiinda said.
The Managing Partner and Co-founder at Ascenify, Phillipa Nanyondo Byamah, noted that the conference seeks to move beyond conventional networking by creating authentic and outcome-driven engagements.
According to Byamah, the platform is designed to foster sustainable professional relationships, mentorship opportunities, and strategic partnerships rooted in shared growth and leadership development.
Organisers say attendance at The SWITCH Conference is open to the public at a fee of UGX 150,000, with participants expected to benefit from high-level networking opportunities, mentorship sessions, and valuable business connections.
