KAMPALA — Phaneroo Ministries will hold the fifth Global Inter-University Conference (GIC) on November 14, with this year’s edition expanding its focus on career development, professional networking and counselling alongside its traditional spiritual programme.
The conference, scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at Phaneroo Grounds in Naguru, will bring together students from universities, technical colleges, vocational schools and other higher education institutions.
New features this year include opportunities for participants to connect with corporate organisations for career and networking opportunities, as well as professional counselling sessions.
The conference will also host a student talent showcase featuring music, dance and drama, with prizes for outstanding performers.
The 2026 programme will feature Phaneroo founder Apostle Grace Lubega, leadership coach and author Dr Cindy Trimm, and Apostle Felix Okoh of House of Treasures Ministries in Johannesburg.
Zambian gospel artiste Pompi and Ugandan gospel ministers will lead the worship and music programme.
Phaneroo says the annual conference is designed to equip young people with biblical principles, leadership skills and practical tools for navigating education, careers and personal development.
“We believe that this generation carries tremendous potential to transform nations,” Lubega said at last year’s conference.
Now in its fifth year, GIC has previously attracted students from across Uganda and beyond, with organisers saying past editions have featured testimonies of healing, academic and financial breakthroughs and renewed faith.
Security arrangements have been made in coordination with relevant authorities, according to the organisers. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase at the venue.
