The Uganda National examinations Board (UNEB) is set to release results of the 2017 Primary Leaving Examinations tomorrow, Friday Jan 12.
Information reaching us indicates that the release will be presided over by the Minister for Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni at 11am from the Office of the Prime Minister conference hall in Kampala.
The latest developments have erased earlier media reports which had indicated that the results would be released yesterday Jan 10.
A total of 646,080 Primary Seven candidates registered to sit PLE in 2017 from 12,751 centres across the country out of whom almost three-quarters of the candidates were from Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools.
Of the total number of candidates, 333,495 were female while 312,585 were male.
There was reported massive leakage of national examinations both at primary seven and senior four last year. This was partly confirmed by the national examinations body and collaborated by police which arrested some culprits.
Parents in the country await to see how their children will perform amidst reports of the said examination leakage.
