Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has announced the appointment of Associate Professor Rachel Mindra-Katoroogo as the Acting Deputy Principal, effective October 15, 2025.

The appointment was made by the Principal of MUBS, Prof Moses Muhwezi, following a merit-based selection process conducted by the Appointments Board. The decision was endorsed by the MUBS Council during its 67th meeting held on the same day.

According to the official communication from the university, Prof Mindra’s appointment will remain in effect until the Education Service Commission makes a substantive appointment to the position.

“We congratulate Prof Mindra on this achievement and wish her a successful term of office,” the university stated in a post on its official social media platforms.

Associate Prof Mindra, a respected academic and administrator, has served MUBS in various capacities, including in leadership, teaching, and research. Her appointment is seen as a testament to her dedication to advancing business education and institutional excellence.

The announcement has been met with widespread congratulatory messages from the MUBS community and partners, recognising her as a strong and capable leader poised to contribute significantly to the school’s continued growth and transformation.
