Northern Uganda Singer, Nuclear Transferred to Nsambya After Accident

Singer Nuclear admitted at St Mary's hospital Lacor in Gulu shortly after the accident.

Okot Patrick popularly known as Nuclear a northern based musician has been transferred to Nsambya hospital in Kampala following a serious accident he got involved in on Wednesday.

Nuclear is said that have hit a cow that was crossing the road around Loyoboo in Unyama sub-county along Gulu – Kitgum road. The singer was riding his brother’s motorbike enroute to his hometown in Kitgum, a day after winning an accolade in the 2018 Northern Uganda Music Awards.

He won the award for breakthrough artiste of the year award on Tuesday in Gulu.

Following the accident, Nuclear was rushed to St. Mary’s hospital Lacor in Gulu where was admitted with serious injuries on the left side of the head and bleeding from the right side eye.

Now, the singer has been transferred to Nsambya Hospital in Kampala for further medication, the wife revealed.

She said that CT Scan results confirm that he sustained a blood clot around the brain area and that he has been put on medication.

He is also feared to have a broken collar bone and lost memory of the events that transpired on the fateful day.
