KAMPALA — President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to address the nation on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in a televised and radio broadcast set for 8:00 p.m., the Presidential Press Unit (PPU) has announced.
According to a statement issued by the PPU, the President will speak on matters of national importance, although specific details of the address were not disclosed.
The national address will be carried live on all major television and radio stations across the country, as well as on digital and online platforms to ensure wide public access.
“The Presidential Press Unit (PPU) wishes to inform the general public that H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, will address the nation on Saturday, 4th July 2026, at 8:00 p.m. on matters of national importance,” the statement read.
The public has been encouraged to tune in to the broadcast as the country awaits the President’s message.
Presidential addresses are often used to communicate key government positions on political, economic, security and social issues affecting the nation.
