Muni University Vice Chancellor Prof Dranzoa Dies at 55

Muni University Vice-Chancellor, Prof Christine Dranzoa, has died.

Prof Dranzoa was announced by both the university and The Inter-University Council for East Africa on Tuesday.

“We have just received the sad news of the untimely death of our dear Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christine Dranzoa who passed on at 3:30 am (Tuesday) morning. Official communication will be made later in the day. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” Muni university tweeted.

“The Management and Staff of IUCEA, with deep sorrow, announce the death of the Chairperson of the IUCEA Executive Committee and the Vice-Chancellor of Muni University Secretary Prof. Christine Dranzoa, which occurred on Tuesday, 28th June 2022. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” IUCEA announced.

She died at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

Prof Dranzoa, 55, has been spearheading the University since its inception in 2014 and also serving as the Executive Committee chairperson of Inter-University Council of East Africa (IUCEA).
