Iconic Ugandan musician Kabuye Semboga is set to mark 42 years in the music industry with a highly anticipated concert at Kampala Serena Hotel on May 23, 2025.

Organised by Balunywa Promotions, the event promises a spectacular night of music, nostalgia, and high-calibre performances from some of Uganda’s finest artists.

A Celebration of Musical Legacy

Speaking at a press conference on March 19, 2025, at Kampala Serena Hotel, Juma Balunywa, a representative of Balunywa Promotions, described the upcoming concert as a landmark event in Uganda’s music history.

He emphasised that the show would be a fitting tribute to Kabuye Semboga’s decades-long contribution to the industry, offering fans a chance to experience his timeless music in an intimate live setting.

Star-Studded Lineup & Exceptional Production

Kabuye Semboga assured fans of an unforgettable live band performance featuring his most beloved hits, including Ebisanyi, Kangume, Sheila, and Fahima.

The concert will take fans on a nostalgic journey through his extensive career, highlighting songs that have defined Uganda’s music landscape for over four decades.

Joining him on stage will be an impressive lineup of celebrated Ugandan artists, including Aziz Azion, Betty Mpologoma, Mesach Ssemakula, Geoffrey Lutaaya and Bruno K…with more surprise acts to be announced.

Balunywa Promotions has promised a world-class production, featuring state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and stage design to enhance the concert experience. A full live band will accompany the performances, ensuring a rich and authentic musical presentation.

The press conference saw attendance from notable figures in Uganda’s entertainment industry, including Mesach Ssemakula, Aziz Azion, Bruno K, Abbey Mukiibi, Biggie Events, and Joanita Kawalya, alongside members of the media. The artists expressed their enthusiasm for the concert, describing it as a well-deserved tribute to one of Uganda’s most respected musical legends.

Juma Balunywa reiterated Balunywa Promotions’ dedication to curating top-tier entertainment experiences, ensuring that Kabuye Semboga’s milestone is honoured in grand style.

Tickets will go for UGX 150,000 (Standard Ticket) and UGX 3,000,000 for a Table for 8. Tickets will soon be available at select outlets, with additional details to be announced.
