Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo has won the Senior Men’s World Cross-Country race.
Kiplimo clinched the men’s senior world title Saturday morning in 29:17 minutes in Bathurst, Australia.
Ethiopia’s Berihu Aregawi came second and took home a silver medal.
2019 winner Joshua Cheptegei finished third and brought home a bronze medal to supplement Kiplimo’s gold medal.
The commonwealth double champion Kiplimo now holds both the cross-country and half-marathon world titles.
“JACOB KIPLIMO. Back-to-back wins for 🇺🇬 in the senior men’s 10km race. From @joshuacheptege1 in 2019 to @jacobkiplimo2, Superb run by @joshuacheptege1 to grab bronze. Well done lads and to the rest of the team, we’re super proud of you,” tweeted Uganda Athletics Federation.
