Kabarole – Rtd Gen Salim Saleh over the weekend excited residents of Kyembogo in Busoro Kabarole district when he donated locally made art crafts and clothing materials designed by members of Uganda Small Scale Industries Association in Kabarole district.

During the launch of the Kabarole Agro Industrial Park at Kyembogo, Gen Saleh carried in his vehicle an assortment of locally made items that among others included Bitenge dresses, shirts, bags, hats, sandals and wines.

All the items were first displayed before the audience.

“I have brought these items to the market” Gen Saleh said when he rose up to deliver his speech.

He wondered why such materials and goods that are locally made have not been fully embraced on the market.

“I want to show you that our own people here are producing good material but it is not in market circulation,” Gen Saleh said.

After Gen Saleh declared an open market, the audience fast exhausted the bottles of wine before rushing to art designs.
