Lira — Equity Bank Uganda is proud to sponsor the highly anticipated return of the Lira Ladies Golf Open, teeing off this Friday, July 4, 2025, at the Lira Golf Course under the empowering theme “Backing Every Bold Swing.”

Now in its 4th edition, the Lira Ladies Open has grown into a premier sporting event in Northern Uganda, showcasing both professional and amateur talent while promoting women’s participation in golf.

The two-day tournament will begin with professional golfers taking to the course on Friday, followed by amateur players competing on Saturday, July 5. The event promises an exciting mix of competition and community, drawing participants and fans from across the country.

“We are proud to power the return of the Lira Golf Ladies Open, teeing off this Friday! The Pros take the course on Friday, followed by the Amateurs on Saturday,” said the bank on its X platform.

Equity Bank Uganda, the official sponsor and organiser of the tournament, emphasised its commitment to empowering communities through sport. The tournament not only highlights athletic skill but also provides an opportunity for networking, mentorship, and the growth of the sport among women and youth in the region.

The Lira Ladies Open is part of Equity Bank Uganda’s broader agenda to invest in initiatives that promote inclusivity, confidence, and boldness—on and off the course.
