Uganda will play Madagascar in a buildup game to the World Cup qualifier match against Ghana on Saturday
FUFA spokesperson Hussein Ahmed confirmed that the Madagascar team flew in on Sunday night and will play Cranes on Wednesday evening at the Philip Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
“The match will help the coach test the technical ability and mental strength of his players ahead of a crucial fixture against Ghana on Saturday. We believe Madagascar have the quality to give our team good preparations,” Ahmed Hussein said.
Coach Moses Basena is expected to test his players in preparation for the game against Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers.
Cranes beat Northern Uganda select team two goals to nil on Saturday in another buildup game.
Uganda will host Ghana on Saturday at Namboole in their group E encounter in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Uganda are second in the group with seven points.
