Renowned Kenyan media personality and events host Claudia Naisabwa has officially announced her entry into the sports ecosystem after partnering with the NBA Basketball Africa League (BAL) as their lead creator and digital champion for the ongoing Season 6 playoffs.

The news has landed right as the highly anticipated BAL Final 8 season tip-off at the BK Arena in Kigali, running through May 31, 2026.

A Passion for the Game: What to Expect?

For anyone who has closely followed Claudia’s journey, this partnership represents the perfect marriage of sports, lifestyle, and culture. A self-professed basketball enthusiast, Claudia has long been a fixture in the sport’s community culture—from closely analysing tense NBA playoff runs online, to championing the elite courtside fashion and lifestyle movements popularised by the sport’s global subcultures.

While this marks her first official corporate signing in sports, Claudia is far from a stranger to the game. She has consistently been a passionate and vocal supporter of basketball culture. Regionally, she turned heads during the group stages by rallying behind Kenya’s representatives, the Nairobi City Thunder, during their intense Kalahari Conference league run. Known for bridging community and sports, Claudia recently hosted a highly successful local watch party, bringing fans together to experience the raw energy of live basketball.

Through her new role with the BAL, Claudia will bridge the gap between high-energy court action and contemporary Pan-African lifestyle. Fans and basketball enthusiasts across the continent can expect an exclusive, courtside look into the premium culture surrounding the league, including behind-the-scenes access, lifestyle features, and game-day energy running all the way through September 2026.

“From watching the playoffs from afar and admiring the ultimate courtside culture, to officially marrying sport and style in real life—beyond thrilled to partner with the Basketball Africa League,” Claudia shared. “We are taking the lifestyle, the style, and the game to a whole new level. Next stop: Kigali for the Finals!”
