Uganda have beaten Djibouti 13-0 on the second day of the 2021 CECAFA Women’s U20 Championship ongoing at the FUFA Technical Centre.

Uganda have beaten Djibouti 13-0 on the second day of the 2021 CECAFA Women’s U20 Championship ongoing at the FUFA Technical Centre.

Six countries Uganda (Hosts), Tanzania, Burundi, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Eritrea are taking part in the tournament that kicked off October 30.

Coach Ayub Khalifah’s lads netted six times in the first stanza before ending second half with seven more goals.

Uganda’s goals came from Hadijah Nandago (2), Fauzia Najjemba (6) Shamilah Nalugya, Shakirah Nyinagagirwa, Aisha Nakibuuka, Catherine Nagadya and Namaganda Zaituni.

Uganda made a perfect start on Saturday winning 5-1 against Burundi thanks to goals from captain Fauzia Najjemba (two), Magret Kunihira, Hadija Nandago and Shamirah Nalugya. On the same day Ethiopia routed Djibouti 7-0, while Tanzania nicked a 1-0 victory over Eritrea.

Fauzia Najjemba now scored 8 goals in two games and she is currently the tourney’s top scorer.

Tanzania will later today face Burundi while Eritrea will take on Ethiopia.
