FDC prays for Speaker Oulanyah to Bounce Back as Strong as a Bull

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party has sent thoughtful prayers to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah, who is current sick and admitted at a hospital in the United States of America.

FDC party said in a short Twitter statement Wednesday that the prayers went sent “with the hope that you [Oulanyah] will feel better and bounce back strong as a bull”.

“Regardless of our political differences, it’s a reminder that we are one Uganda, one people. We pray for a quick recovery,” the tweet added.

The FDC post was welcomed by Tweeps as well as government officials.

Speaker Oulanyah’s Press Secretary, Sarah Kagingo, commended the spirit.

Earlier, Kagingo posted a video from the past in which Oulanyah wondered what had become of Ugandans declaring others dead.

“If somebody is sick, why declare that person dead? What has happened to us?” Oulanyah asked in July 2021.

“People hold prayers for sick people. Others hold parties for sick people to die, in this country” he added.
