Celebrated gospel musician, Levixone has credited ‘Fields of Life’, the charity that supported him and turned his life around from the gutter that he once called home, to the glory he basks in today.

Levixone, real names Sam Lucus Lubyogo has been busy lately ahead of his upcoming music concert ‘Turn the Replay’ this Saturday, but despite the hectic schedule, he spared a moment to celebrate the organization that held his hand when he was vulnerable.

The singer took to his Facebook to appreciate ‘Fields of Life’ for the impact it has had on his life.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Fields of Life, for the continued support year after year towards my life and my ministry,” Levixone, 25, wrote on his Facebook this week.

“This is the organization that took me off the streets, got me a sponsor that put me through school and provided me with all the scholastic materials that I needed until I finished high school”.

They say it is always easy to forget the past, especially when all seems to be going well for you. But it seems Levixone reads from a different script.

It is his same past that inspired his passion for helping the needy. Part of the returns from Saturday’s concert will go towards helping those in need in Karamoja, northern Uganda.

He says someone he didn’t know held his hand and decided to pay for his education, and this is this explains why he is giving back to the vulnerable.

“My sponsor decided believed that I could rise above what life had reduced me too, he still decided that I could be a real change maker, and gave me a chance”.

The singer has since founded his own charity organization ’92 Hands’. The first born of ten children grew up with his mother and stepfather in Kosovo, Lungujja. He would later drop out of school when his stepfather refused to pay for his education.

A young Levixone then ran away from home and met singers “Ticki Tah”, Crystal Fabulous and Mac Elvis, who influenced his love for music.

Levixone’s much anticipated concert on Saturday at Lugogo Cricket Oval will feature a host of gospel entertainers including Abel Chungu, Chris Erroh, DJ mo, Alemba, DK Kwenye Beat, Mr Seed, Bahati, Exodus, Judith Babirye, Coopy Bly, Pastor Wilson Bugembe among others.

Going by the line-up, this could probably be the biggest gospel show down this year.

Popular city pastor, Alosious Bujingo of Canan Prayer Centre has boosted the concert with Shs 2 million in cash price and promised to attend. He also showered the singer with blessings ahead of the music do.

Speaking to SofPower News on phone, Levixone said that he will use the concert to unveil his latest song titled ‘Watching over You’.
