Museveni is in Egypt on the invitation of President Fattah El-Sisi.

On Tuesday, the two leaders held bilateral talks at Al-Ittihadiya Presidential Palace touching on countering terrorism, investment and establishing a new navigational course between African countries using the Nile River, and later addressed a joint press conference.

While briefing the press, Museveni spoke to the need for Africans to cooperate if the continent is to overcome its challenges including the threat of terrorism.

He said extremism and terrorism was the root of all the world’s problems.

He extended an invitation to President Sisi to visit Uganda and see the source of River Nile which he had earlier described as a natural road link between the two countries.

“Allah gave us the Nile River as a natural, direct and easy road linking between our countries,” Museveni said.

President Sisi promised to visit Ugansa soon. His first presidential visit to Uganda was in December 2016.
