President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday, August 24, 2026, met with a Tanzanian delegation led by Abdulhalim Hafidh Ameir, son of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, at State House, Entebbe.
The delegation also comprised George Nkya, Amal Garang and Mundhir Mohammed Nassor.
The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest between Uganda and Tanzania, with discussions centred on strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing shared regional development priorities.
President Museveni welcomed the delegation and held discussions with the representatives on the issues presented during the meeting.
The engagement comes as Uganda and Tanzania continue to pursue closer cooperation in areas of mutual interest, reflecting the longstanding relations between the two neighbouring East African countries.
