Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda has officially reignited its iconic “Share-A-Coke” campaign with a lively activation at Namayiba Bus Terminal in Kampala, bringing joy and refreshment to hundreds of travellers headed across Uganda and beyond.

Passengers boarding or disembarking buses to destinations like Gulu, South Sudan, and Kenya were greeted by Coca-Cola agents who handed out free bottles of soda, each personalised with names on the labels. The campaign, which encourages people to “Share a Coke” with a loved one, also included QR code scans linking to personalised Coke experiences.

Jimmy Ogwal, the Operations Manager of KK Coaches, described the public’s response as overwhelming:

“People were so excited. Some were surprised to find their names on the bottles—like Patricia—and couldn’t believe it. Others kept asking if this was going to happen every day,” he said. “This is about connection and happiness. It’s more than just a drink; it’s a moment shared.”

Etoo Christina, who works with Bebeto Coach Services, expressed her delight: “We were so glad to receive drinks from Coca-Cola. It felt special, especially seeing names on the bottles. It made the moment more personal—it’s not every day you see your name on a Coke!”

The campaign is set to continue tomorrow at the National Theatre, targeting passengers heading to Murchison Falls National Park. It will then expand to bus terminals serving Eastern and Western Uganda, ensuring the Share-A-Coke experience reaches towns and villages across the country.

Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda reaffirmed the campaign’s mission in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter): “It’s official—Share-A-Coke is BACK. Squad names, besties, fan crews—it’s all on a Coke now. We’re back and bringing names with us.”

Whether it’s your name, your crush’s, or a best friend’s, Coca-Cola’s refreshed campaign is reminding Ugandans that joy can be found in the smallest, fizziest moments—one bottle at a time.
