World football governing body, FIFA has appointed officials from Sudan to officiate Uganda Cranes World Cup Qatar 2022 group E qualifier against Kenya on September 2, 2021.
The two nations will face-off at Nyayo Stadium in Kenya on Thursday September 2, 2021.
The appointed officials are Ismail Mahmood Ali Mahmood as the Centre referee, Ibrahim Abdallah Mohammad and Abdelgabar Muhamed as first and second Assistant Referee respectively.
Fadul Sabri Mohamed, also from Sudan has will be the fourth official.
FIFA has also named Labrosse Jen- Claude from the Indian Ocean Island county of Seychelles the referee assessor and Gebre Silassie Solomon from Ethiopia as the the match commissioner.
The Cranes on Thursday left for Ethiopia to play an build up game on Sunday August 29 with hosts Ethiopia in preparation for the Kenya clash.
Uganda’s group also has Rwanda and Mali. The Uganda’s will after the Kenya game fly back to Kampala to host Mali on September 6, 2021 at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
After the team’s last training at the African Bible University of Uganda play ground in Lubowa on Wednesday evening, team captain Emmanuel Arnold Okwi said they trained well and ready for games.
“We have prepared well since day one of training. The response of the players has been top notch and we are ready to give our best,” Okwi disclosed.
