Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan is said to have received massive welcome when she returned to Tanzania on Friday. The glamour queen who is rumored to have parted ways with Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has since been in South Africa.

Media reports state that Zari had returned for the launch of Danube, a furniture store at Mlimani on Saturday which was also attended by the country’s Minister of Trade. Zari had earlier signed an endorsement deal with Danube and that perhaps explains why her attendance was a must.

Many have since taken to social media making a fuss of her ‘queenly reception’ and how her event was a success. Zari enjoys a huge following on social media.

Photos taken moments after she landed at the airport show her clad in pants and a cut out dress along with her signature shades.

The flamboyant socialite temporarily separated with Diamond after the singer had a baby with model, Hamisa Mobetto. The singer publicly admitted to having cheated on Zari with Mobetto.

Beyond the physical separation, the rift was heightened by Zari’s recent decision to delete all her photos with Diamond on Instagram.

It is unclear how long Zari will be in Tanzania as she has already hooked up with the fiancée after she missed his birthday party recently. Zari was yesterday seen with Diamond headed to Zanzibar.

Zari’s fans were not the only ones who got excited by her return. Diamond’s mother Bi Sandra wrote a welcome message for Zari that read, “South Africa kwako, Uganda kwako, Tanzania ni kwako pia… You are shining everywhere… Welcome home Mama Tee.”
