New Haven, USA – The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV, has achieved a major academic milestone, completing a second Master’s Degree of Advanced Studies in Global Affairs from Yale University in the United States.
In a heartfelt message shared on Monday evening, the monarch expressed deep gratitude to his close friends and family for their unwavering support during the demanding academic journey.
“To my cherished friends,” he wrote, “your encouragement, laughter and companionship have been a steady source of strength throughout my journey. In moments of challenge and triumph alike, you stood by me with unwavering support.”

The Kyabazinga, who has been pursuing higher education while continuing to serve as a cultural leader of the Busoga Kingdom in eastern Uganda, emphasized that the achievement was not his alone.
“I am deeply grateful for the joy and perspective you brought into my life as I pursued my second Master’s Degree of Advanced Studies in Global Affairs at Yale University, USA,” he said.
In a particularly moving tribute, he praised his wife, Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi Nadiope, the Inhebantu of Busoga, for her steadfast companionship and sacrifices throughout his studies.

“To my beloved wife Jovia and Inhebantu of Busoga,” the Kyabazinga stated, “your love is my anchor and your strength is my shield. Through every late night, distant day, and silent sacrifice, you stood by me with grace and patience. You have made this journey not only possible but meaningful.”
He concluded the tribute with a note of shared accomplishment: “This accomplishment… is as much yours as it is mine.”
The Master’s Degree of Advanced Studies in Global Affairs from Yale is a prestigious programme designed for experienced professionals seeking deeper understanding of global leadership, diplomacy, and international policy.

The Kyabazinga’s enrollment in the programme reflects his growing role not just as a cultural leader, but also as a visionary with global engagement ambitions for the Busoga Kingdom and Uganda.
The Busoga Kingdom is expected to hold a celebration to honour the Kyabazinga’s academic achievement, which adds to his already distinguished profile as a traditional monarch and scholar.
