Woman Dies in Fatal Accident Along Bukoto – Kisaasi Road

One woman has died on spot in a deadly motor accident which took place on Saturday afternoon along Kyebando roundabout on Kisaasi – Bukoto road.

According to a statement by police,
the accident involved a Toyota Rav4 UAK 217C and a mobile crane UAX 216S.

The dead woman has been identified as Aidah Esther Nanyonga, a resident of Nansana, who was traveling in the Toyota Rav4.

Police say the accident was caused by Ms. Nanyonga who tried to over take another vehicle.

“It is alleged that the driver of the Rav4 Ms. Aidah Esther Nanyonga, a resident of Nansana was trying to over take, collided and died instantly,” read part of the police statement.

Nanyonjo’s body body was taken to Mulago hospital for postmortem pending further investigations into the accident.

The accident comes days after another deadly motor accident which took place in Nakasongola along Kampala Gulu on Monday June 12 and instantly claimed lives of five people.
