On Thursday, Gen. Odongo told parliament that 8 of the 9 murders were as a result of ritual sacrifice by a local businessman using a known criminal.

“The Katabi (Entebbe) murders are linked to a serial killer called Katongole who is linked to ‘illuminati’ (devil worship),” Gen Odongo told parliament.

The Internal Affairs minister blamed most of the murders to rich people who hire youths for ritual murders.

“There is need to address the issue of youth unemployment,” he said.

He, however, assured the August house that the situation is now improving, adding that this kind of criminality will be defeated by security agencies.

Over 20 women have been killed by unknown assailants in areas of Nansana and Entebbe in since may 2017.

Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kaihura recently said a local businessman in Nansana was paying some people to murder women especially prostitutes for ritual sacrifices.
