After weeks of confidence-building, leadership training and personal transformation, Uganda is preparing to crown its very first Miss Universe Uganda at a spectacular Grand Finale scheduled for August 1, 2026, at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
The historic event, powered by V&A Sherry, marks the culmination of the country’s inaugural Miss Universe Uganda journey, a milestone that will crown a national queen and also see Uganda make its debut on one of the world’s most prestigious pageantry stages.
The sherry liqueur brand, popularly known for empowering women through partnerships with platforms such as Miss Uganda and for celebrating women on occasions such as Women’s Day, was second nature for V&A to partner with Uganda’s first-ever Miss Universe pageant. The partnership reflects V&A Sherry’s belief that every achievement is Yours to Share, whether it is a personal breakthrough, a bold ambition realized, or a moment that inspires an entire nation.
“As V&A Sherry, we are proud to stand behind this historic finale and celebrate the young women who have the ambition and the confidence to dream beyond boundaries. We chose to partner with this platform because of how it celebrates women who are writing their own stories, lifting others through leadership, and showing that confidence is built through purpose and perseverance,” said Roy Ronald Tumwizere, Brand Manager for V&A Sherry at UBL.
Beyond the glamour of the evening, the Grand Finale will celebrate a new generation of Ugandan women redefining leadership, resilience and self-belief, qualities that have transformed the competition into a platform empowering women to use their voices, embrace their individuality and create meaningful impact in their communities.
The journey began in May, when Miss Universe Uganda officially launched its debut edition, opening a new chapter for Ugandan women to compete on the global Miss Universe platform. Since then, the competition has attracted remarkable young women from across the country, each bringing a unique story, purpose and vision for the future. Only fifteen finalists remain in the race for the crown, from an initial pool of 25 contestants.
Whoever will be crowned queen on Saturday, will earn the honour of becoming Uganda’s first representative at the Miss Universe competition, carrying the country’s identity, aspirations and culture onto one of the world’s biggest international stages.
As anticipation builds, the stage is set for an unforgettable evening celebrating beauty with purpose; a historic first for the country, and a fitting moment for V&A Sherry to celebrate women who continue to break new ground.
The Miss Universe Uganda 2026 Grand Finale takes place this Saturday, from 6:00pm. Guests are encouraged to come clad in Black-Tie dress code.
Tickets are available via Quicket, with regular tickets priced at UGX 100,000, VIP tickets at UGX 150,000, and tables for eight available at UGX 3,000,000.
