Hello Mr Right, Uganda’s popular reality dating show, is back for its third season, powered by V&A Sherry, and continues to deliver a compelling mix of love, drama, and entertainment. The show airs every week at 8 pm on StarTimes’ Makula Kika channel.

Since its premiere on March 15, the show has stayed true to its winning formula, serving audiences a blend of fun, unexpected chemistry, and the emotional twists that come with modern dating. Week after week, viewers are drawn into a space where every decision, reaction, and connection feels deeply personal.

This weekend’s episode offered a perfect example of how unpredictable the search for love can be. Hassan, this week’s MMrRight, made a confident entrance and initially impressed the contestants, until he began speaking.

His demeanour quickly shifted perceptions, earning him a reputation for being loud and dismissive. Undeterred, contestant Sharon stepped forward, boldly asking Hassan to choose her as his Ms Right.

When host Roger Otis, V&A Sherry’s brand influencer, questioned her intentions, she remained unfazed. “Otis, please… do not ask unnecessary questions,” she said, confidently stepping forward to make her move.

Hassan, however, was not convinced. “As the Baganda say, ‘Something beautiful does not need to advertise itself,’” he replied. “So Sharon, I’ll pass.”

He then turned his attention to another contestant, Success, escorting her to the entrance stage and showering her with money in a dramatic display of affection.

But the moment took an unexpected turn. After enjoying the gesture, Success flipped her placard to black, rejecting Hassan.

When hosts Mr Henrie and Zahara Toto asked her to explain, she delivered one of the night’s most memorable lines: “I accept the money, but I will not be taking the man.”

The audience erupted in laughter. A visibly frustrated Hassan demanded his money back, prompting Sharon to deliver a sharp comeback from the sidelines: “It serves you right for turning away someone who loves you and choosing someone who doesn’t.”

For Rochart Kaweesa, Brand Manager of V&A Sherry, such moments reflect the heart of the show.

“Love is complicated, but it is one of the most beautiful things and feelings to share,” he said. “As V&A Sherry, we celebrate everyone who has found love on the show, and encourage those still searching to look forward to those moments, while toasting to the freedom of being single and having options.”

With the season finale set for June 20, the journey is far from over. Viewers can continue to support their favourite couples in the race for the grand prize of one million shillings by engaging with their posts on Instagram and TikTok.
