The briefing aims to sensitize Area Coordinators on their roles and responsibilities in ensuring the smooth conduct of assessments in accordance with the TVET law and assessment guidelines.

The Area coordinators are also tasked to conduct a briefing of the Assessment Supervisors and also attend the briefing of candidates in the respective Assessment centres.

This is aimed at sensitising and engaging Heads of Assessment Centres candidates to guard against involvement in assessment malpractices as stipulated in the TVET Act 2025, Sections 102- 108.

He emphasized the importance of guarding against assessment malpractices as stipulated in the TVET Act 2025.

UVTAB is a newly established national TVET assessment body established by the TVET Act No. 3 of 2025, which merged UBTEB and the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT). The Board derives its mandate from the TVET Act 2025, Section 77(5).
