The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) Reserve Force will conduct an exercise for able-bodied reservists /veterans who will form part of Uganda Battle Groups XXXIX and XI.
According to UPDF, the requirements for Veterans include; (a) Must have original National ID, (b) Discharge certificate, (c) Be 55 Years and below, (d) Shall undergo medical and physical screening to ascertain fitness.
Upon completion of the exercise, successful veterans will be transported to the Peace Support Training Center (PSO) in Singo, Nakaseke District.
Veterans from the districts of Greater Eastern Uganda ( 3 Division Area of Responsibility); Bukedi, Teso, Elgon and Karamoja Sub regions are required to report to Bugema Army Barracks in Mbale district and Soroti Flying School in Soroti City for the exercise.
The call up exercise tentatively commences on 15 February 2023 and ends 18th February 2023.
