The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has assured Visitors and supporters set to take part in the Mount Rwenzori Marathon.
This year’s event set for Saturday 24, will draw participants from 32 countries.
In a statement, Felix Kulaigye, UPDF Director for Defence Public Information, said the Forces are committed to ensuring a secure environment, that will allow participants focus on the race and enjoy their time in Kasese.
He asked for cooperation from all attendees.
“If you notice anything suspicious or concerning, please report it immediately to the nearest security personnel or UPDF officers, who will be stationed throughout the event ready to address any concerns.”
The Mount Rwenzori Marathon celebrates resilience, determination, and unity among participants from diverse backgrounds.
