CP Amoru inspected the COE in Aljazeera II Camp which included the Fleet, Mechanical Workshop, Level one Hospital, Kitchen, Communications Equipment and Laundries.

The team leader, CP Amoru said that the purpose of their visit was to carry out benchmarking on self-sustainment Equipment so that Uganda can start getting reimbursement.

They were later led to sector one Headquarters of UPDF where they were welcomed by the Sector Commander, Brigadier General Keith Katungi, and his team, after which, taken through self-sustainment areas of inspection in both theory and site visits to Offices, Communications gadgets, Kitchen and Laundries.

They visited UNSOS to seek further guidance on self-sustainment by the ATMIS COE Officer, Fidelis Luwawa, who told them to negotiate the terms of MoU so that every category is included for onward submission to New York.

The argument is that negotiation can be done either through Ugandan Permanent Mission or to deploy first then the inspection can be done later.

Others who accompanied the Commissioner were; ACP Okumu Moses – in charge of Finance, ACP Nandaula Rebecca – in charge of maintenance of fleet in Uganda Police Force and SSP Kitimbo Abdallah Uthman of Operations Department of Field Force.
