Arthur Kaluma, a 23-year-old Ugandan-American basketball talent, has officially joined the Los Angeles Lakers following a standout performance in the NBA Summer League.
Kaluma, who was born in the United States to Ugandan parents, impressed scouts and fans alike during his Summer League stint with the 17-time NBA champions. His signing marks a significant milestone in his professional career.
Beyond his achievements in the U.S., Kaluma has proudly represented Uganda on the international stage. He featured prominently for the Uganda men’s national basketball team during AfroBasket 2021 and later in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers.
Kaluma’s journey to the NBA is a source of pride for both Uganda and the African basketball community, as he continues to raise the country’s flag in global arenas.
