Uganda’s rising stars Rebecca Cheptegei and Annet Chemengich have won Gold and Silver medals, respectively.
This was at the World Mountain Running Championship in Thailand.
The men’s category was purely dominated by Ugandans Leonard Chemutai, Caleb Musobo, and Dennis Kiplangat.
Chemutai scooped gold, Musobo won silver and Kiplangat took home a bronze medal.
The World Mountain Running Championships is an international mountain running competition contested by athletes of the members of WMRA, the World Mountain Running Association, the sport’s global governing body.
