Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has awarded prizes worth Shs254 million to customers through its ongoing Laga Swagga promotion. Launched to reward customers purchasing Uganda Waragi, V&A, Bond 7, and Gilbeys, the promotion has attracted over 360,000 participants in just seven weeks.

Nationwide excitement has gripped customers, with winners emerging from Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Gulu, Mbarara, Hoima, Fort Portal, and Arua.

“We’re thrilled with the engagement generated by Laga Swagga,” said Hillary Baguma, UBL Brand Manager – Mainstream Spirits. “Seeing customers happily enjoying rewards is heartwarming. We encourage everyone to keep participating, as there are still plenty of prizes to be won, including the grand prize of Shs50 million.”

To participate, customers submit a special code found under the bottle cap via SMS to 6688. Each entry qualifies for instant cash prizes and a chance to participate in the weekly draw.

The promotion airs every Thursday evening on NBS, NTV, Bukedde TV, and Galaxy TV. Baguma emphasized that the promotion is only for those above 18 years and encouraged responsible drinking.

Shafiq Kyewalabye, a Boda Boda rider from Nansana and one of the latest winners, received UGX 500,000. “At first, I didn’t believe it, but it was real! I got my money, and I confirm it’s genuine. Thank you, UBL.”

To date, the Laga Swagga promotion has distributed UGX 230 million in airtime and UGX 24.5 million in weekly cash prizes. With five weeks remaining, customers across Uganda have more chances to win cash, airtime, and exciting prizes.
