From the moment the guests boarded at the scenic Lake Victoria Serena Resort at Kigo, it was evident that the event exuded elegance. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a long blue carpet, and a range of exquisitely crafted Johnnie Walker cocktails, setting the stage for a day of relaxation, refinement, and deep conversations.

The afternoon kicked off with a whisky mentorship and tasting session, highlighting the rich flavours of the iconic Johnnie Walker Blue Label. During this session, guests were guided through the art of savouring the finest whiskies, with particular focus on Johnnie Walker Blue Label, learning and unlearning the delicate nuances of enjoying undoubtedly one of the world’s most iconic and rarest whisky to date.

Co-hosted by Mr. Amos Nzeyi, the Chairman of Crown Beverages Ltd, the relaunch welcomed distinguished figures like Buganda Prince David Wassajja, Heads of Uganda’s leading Financial Institutions, Board Chairs from distinguished private sector entities and renown business moguls.

Their presence underscored the event’s exclusivity, providing a rare opportunity for Uganda’s business leaders to engage in meaningful exchange within an elegant, relaxed environment.

UBL Managing Director Andrew Kilonzo, expressed gratitude to the guests for taking time off their busy schedules to attend the relaunch. He outlined the unique offers and privileges of being a Blue Club member, including exclusive access to the home of Johnnie Walker in Scotland, access to limited releases, thought leadership sessions, timely deliveries, personalized bottle engraving services, and VIP shopping experiences, among others.

In his remarks, Mr. Nzeyi commended UBL’s contribution to the Ugandan economy, while UBL’s Board Chairman and reigning Blue Club Patron Jimmy Mugerwa, emphasized the significance of business leaders coming together in unconventional settings.

“Tonight is not just a celebration of luxury and craftsmanship, but a gathering of visionaries who continue to take bold steps that shape the future of business in Uganda,” Mugerwa noted, underscoring the importance of fostering excellence within the business community.

The evening was also filled with enchanting entertainment. Saxophonist Michael Kitanda set the tone with soulful melodies, while Selector Jay, played an eclectic mix of 70s and 80s Pop, R&B, and the latest Afrobeat hits, keeping the atmosphere lively.

The relaunch of the Johnnie Walker Blue Club sets a new benchmark for luxury experiences in Uganda, blending business networking with elite lifestyle offerings.
