Her body was discovered on Thursday night in Nkokonjeru in Buikwe district.

The deceased is said to have been last was seen with a relative at Shoprite along Entebbe Road in downtown Kampala. She was a resident of Entebbe.

The husband, John Francis Kajumba told Police that on the day she disappeared, she had told him that she was going to visit their farm in Kakiri, Wakiso district, but that she would first meet with the sister.

He reported a case of missing person at Central Police Station (CPS) Kampala after failing to trace her wife’s whereabouts.

Zalwango had worked with UBA for a decade. Workmates said she hadn’t disclosed any life threats.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the deceased met and exchanged documents. Later, the two separated and Zalwango later sent the sister a text message saying she had changed her plans.

“She was supposed to go to Kakiri but she later sent a message to the sister telling her she would go to Nkokonjeru. And Nkokonjeru is their village,” ASP Owoyesigyire told SoftPower News.

As to what state her body was found, Owoyesigyire said the postmortem would establish this.
