Over the weekend, Thrones Bar Lounge and Restaurant came alive with the Johnnie Walker “Boozy Brunch” Bottle Turnup, an experience that lived up to its name.

The night was sleek and well-curated. Each order of Gold Label Reserve, Blue Label, or Black Label arrived glowing with lights, transforming every bottle into a mini spectacle.

By 10 pm, DJ Jerry Mehn set the tone, easing the crowd into the night. Just after 11 p.m., DJ Aludah took over, seamlessly blending R&B and Afrobeats with a rhythm that kept the dancefloor in motion.

At 1 am, Johnnie Walker influencer DJ Kasbaby stepped in, reminding everyone why he’s a force in Kampala’s nightlife scene. Moments later, Tracy Melon hit the stage, drawing the crowd in instantly. She opened with Sumagiza, then flowed into Kakana, Totta, and Ogenda Kukilaba. The energy shifted, voices softened, and the crowd sang along, not to perform, but to feel. Her set brought a tender contrast to a night that had begun with roaring celebrations following Arsenal’s Premier League triumph.

By 4 am, Thrones was still buzzing. Revellers who had arrived as early as 9:30 p.m. showed no signs of leaving, holding on to the night with a kind of stubborn joy only great parties create.

Reflecting on the moment, DJ Kasbaby summed it up best: “When a Johnnie Walker bottle arrives witlightg h, ts and the crowd is this alive, you feel it on the decks. Tonight was one of those nights you play for.”
