Stanbic Bank’s Anne Juuko Elevated to Regional Director of Global Markets

Anne Juuko, the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic Bank Uganda, has assumed duties of Regional Director of Global Markets at the Standard Bank Group, the parent company of Stanbic Bank Uganda. 

In her new capacity in Nairobi where she will be based, Juuko will oversee operations across seven African countries, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, DR Congo, South Sudan, Malawi, and Zambia.

With a remarkable career spanning over a decade within the Standard Bank Group, Juuko first joined in 2012 as the Head of Global Markets in Uganda. 

Her dedication and expertise propelled her to key positions, and in 2018, she was appointed as the Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Standard Bank Namibia. Notably, in March 2020, she assumed the role of CEO at Stanbic Bank Uganda.

With over 20 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry, both regional and globally, Juuko has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. 

Her exemplary performance and strategic vision have played pivotal roles in steering Stanbic Bank Uganda towards its goals.

In her new role, Juuko is poised to leverage her wealth of experience to oversee and enhance the global market operations in the seven African countries under her purview. 

The appointment reflects the confidence and trust the Standard Bank Group places in her ability to drive success across diverse markets.
