Tanzanian singing star, Diamond Platnumz, says he will just do a song with Ugandan songbird Spice Diana but doesn’t rule out the possibility of a relationship.
“Spice Diana is not a bad person to have kids with…” he told journalists at Mestil Hotel and Residences in Nsambya on Thursday.
“For Spice Diana, I’m not going to chew her, we are just going to sing a song,” he said when asked if he intends to date her or make her his “baby mama”.
Diamond revealed that Diana has been to Tanzania before.
“I hosted her in my home. I hosted her in my office. She is my sister but whatever happens, it’s God’s will.”
On arrival in Uganda, the 2015 MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA) winner said he is open to collaborating with Ugandan musicians.
“Before I leave, we may drop a song with Spice Diana. I think we will shoot as well. Or maybe we’ll perform before the song as well,” he said, adding; “We’ve been planning to do a song for a while. we have a couple of songs me and Diana but they aren’t out yet. So, you should expect a song coming.”
On Thursday night, Diamond and Diana met at Mestil Hostel and Residences in Nsambya to plan their new song and a possible video shoot.
Asked a male artiste he would be interested in collaborating with, he said Jose Chameleone whom he referred to as “my brother”.
Diamond will tonight headline the Comedy Store Uganda fundraising concert at Kololo ceremonial grounds.
Several Ugandan artists like Winnie Nwagi, Spice Diana, King Saha, Ray G, Alien Skin, Karole Kasita, Naava Grey, Zex Bilangilangi, MC Mariachi, Madrat & Chiko, Maulana & Reign, Teacher Mpamire & Daddy Andre, will also perform.
