A South African based Ugandan evangelist, Apostle Paul Kamba has been killed after a shooting by suspected robbers.
Kamba, the senior pastor of Destiny Midwives Christian Centre (DMCC) in Edenvale, a town on the East Rand in Gauteng, South Africa was attacked on Sunday morning and shot at by armed thugs.
Reports say he three armed people gained access in the church, entered Kamba’s office and shot him in the abdomen before they fled. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead on Monday.
DMCC through a press statement said, the Apostle was shot at 10 am during an attempted robbery within the Church premises.
“We urge you to please stand with us in prayer as we continue to pray for the man of God,” the statement read in part.
The envagelist who has preached for ten years was a graduate of Makerere University – Kampala with an Honors Degree in Arts.
He has survived by a wife and four children.
The Ministry website says he has traveled in many countries around the world conducting prayer revivals, miracle Healing Campaigns and teaching in conferences.
Apostle Paul is author of Four books; The Power of PUSH, Glory Dimension, Birthing Your Destiny and Prayer Arrows.
He also co-founded ‘The senior Midwife Foundation,’ a Christian charity organisation dedicated
to providing a platform for individuals to fulfill their divine destinies by tackling poverty, lack of resources and promoting skills development and enhancement.
There are preparations to have his remains flown back to Uganda so he can be buried in his ancestral home in Bugweri, Iganga district.
